Keeping children busy for the holidays is easy this summer, thanks to R&Be Active from Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.
Children aged seven to 15 can try out activities such as mountain boarding and kung fu as well as more traditional sports like basketball, tennis and golf. They are all offered at competitive prices with sessions starting from as little as £4. Activities last from one hour to a full school day and take place in the council’s leisure centres and other locations around the borough. A six-week beginners’ netball coaching course and a three-day musical theatre workshop are also available.
“I know how hard it can be to keep children occupied and active over the long summer holidays. We’ve made our sessions as low cost as possible and put on as many different activities as we can,” says Councillor Ros Mill, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing. “If tempting your children away from the computer or television is a challenge, then look no further than our R&Be Active programme for some really great activities.”
Details of all the activities taking place and a downloadable booking form are on the council's website.
