The Harlequin Theatre & Cinema is opening its doors again this Friday 17 July with the reopening of its cinema, The Waller Studio.
Now government guidelines allow, the cinema will be opened with extensive measures in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, from distanced seating and routes around the venue, to rigorous cleaning regimes and availability of hand sanitising stations.
A fantastic selection of films is on offer over the coming weeks, including recent releases, feel-good classics, family films and play screenings. All tickets are just £5 until the end of July – and what’s more, critical workers are able to enjoy free tickets in July and £5 tickets for all of August.
Cllr Alex Horwood, Executive Member for Wellbeing and Intervention, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the public back to the Waller Studio. Watching films on the big screen is a wonderful form of entertainment that we know has been sorely missed by our customers. We have taken extreme care to make the experience safe and enjoyable, so our customers can sit back and relax. We can’t wait to welcome you back to The Harlequin.”
