Interim payments
If you arrived on a Homes for Ukraine Scheme VISA you are entitled to collect £200 per person upon arrival into the UK. This will be provided on a pre-paid card. You will need to bring your VISA and any other ID documents that they might have travelled with. Cards will be available to collect from the place listed below and instructions in Ukrainian, Russian and English of how to use them will be included for your support:

If you are unable to attend one of these sessions, please contact us on resettlement@reigate-banstead.gov.uk.
You can also get a free SIM card for a mobile phone. These are also available to collect from the above places.
You can apply for a free bus pass using the following link: Homes for Ukraine temporary bus pass scheme up until March 2025.
Open a bank account
Go to any bank or online bank and set this up. You will need your VISA and or any ID (identification) documents that you travelled with and make sure you have an email address set up in your name and a valid phone number. Claim Universal Credit
If you are aged 18 and over, apply for Universal Credit - GovUK online
Claim Child Benefit
If you have children, you can apply for the Child Benefit Claim - GovUK through printing the claim form - GovUK. Further information is available at, Child Benefit - GovUK.

Homes for Ukraine - Private rental scheme (new from November 2023)
We are pleased to be able to offer this scheme which provides some financial assistance available to guests who may be wishing to consider the private rental option, subject to our affordability checks.
