Deputy Mayor Cllr Sue Sinden

The Deputy Mayor is elected for a term of office of one year.

Councillor Sue Sinden, Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Reigate & Banstead

Sue was born in Colchester, Essex but has lived in Redhill since 1964. Sue has worked in many local hospitals and care homes for over 50 years. Now retired, she attends SASH meetings at East Surrey Hospital.

Sue has been a borough councillor for Redhill East since 2019 and is currently chair of the Licencing committee. She is a big supporter of many local charities and organisations including the Redhill and Reigate Society, Redhill Business guild, Age Concern and Lucy Rayner Foundation.

Sue has obtained her Carbon literacy certificate and on the Universal Basic Income, Sue did a speech that was shared across the world.

In her spare time, Sue relaxes with family and friends she has four sons and five grandchildren which mean the world to her. Sue loves all nature and animals, and keeps tropical fish.

Has a love of sports, flower arranging, music and dancing, baking and decorating cakes, especially for her grandchildren.
