Surrey County Council election - postponed

Surrey County Council May 2025 elections have been postponed to allow reorganisation plans to be developed.

The Government made an announcement on Wednesday 5 February 2025, confirming that Surrey will be in the first wave of local government reorganisation and Surrey County Council May 2025 elections will be postponed.

We expect that the earliest that elections for the new unitary authorities will take place is May 2026.
