Counselling Support

Life can sometimes seem hectic and juggling work with our personal lives and family responsibilities can be difficult. From time to time we can all benefit from some extra support. EAP is a free, independent and confidential service paid for by the Council, and available to all staff and their immediate family.

Employee Assistance Programme

Contact the Confidential Free Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Key features include:

  • 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year contact and advice line (Freephone)
  • advice and signposting to services which can help with financial issues, debt and legal support
  • advice and help with issues in work or personal relationships, bereavement, stress and depression
  • option of direct counselling support - typically five 1:1 sessions with a counsellor

The service also includes access to a self help website, Well Online, which contains a monthly help sheet with topics of interest.

Find the log in details for the online service on The Knowledge (intranet), on the back of any Depot flyer or ask your line manager.

Discounts at The Harlequin

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council staff can access discounts on some purchases - including items from the café and on tickets for the cinema and annual pantomime - by showing their ID badge when booking. If you do not have an ID badge please contact us:

Charitable Giving

Through a Charitable Giving scheme the Council offers staff the option of donating to charity in a simple and tax-efficient way.

You can choose to pay a regular amount every month to the charity or charities of your choice.

This sum will be deducted from your gross (i.e. pre-tax) salary. For basic-rate taxpayers, this means every £10 you donate will reduce your take home pay by just £8.00. The difference is even greater for higher-rate taxpayers. To start the process, please visit:
