Hollie Guard

Hollie Guard turns your smartphone into a personal safety device, whether you’re working alone, travelling to an unknown area or commuting around town.

If in danger, shake your phone or tap the screen to generate an alert. Your location and audio/video evidence will automatically be sent to your emergency contacts who can take action to help you quickly.

Features include different alert levels, meeting timers and journey planners.

  • Three alert types – personal, stealth and deterrent – allow you to choose an alert setting appropriate to your specific needs.
  • You can set meeting timers, when the meeting has expired an alert will automatically be raised.
  • If travelling, you can notify people of your journey so the emergency contacts will know when you’ve started and completed the journey.

The Silent Solution System

The Silent Solution allows victims of domestic abuse to call 999 in an emergency without being overheard.

When somebody calls 999, an operator will ask which emergency service is required. If the caller is unable to audibly signal to the operator, the call will be forwarded to an operating system. If 55 is pressed by the caller, the system will detect this. The operator will then transfer the call to the relevant police force as an emergency.

How to delete your viewing history

See - Cover your tracks online (Women's Aid website) - for instructions on how to cover your tracks and delete your viewing history to minimise the chances of webpages you have been looking at being found by someone else.

This is guidance only which cannot completely cover your history. This can only be done if you use a different computer altogether. Using a library computer may be helpful - find your closest library on the libraries page of Surrey County Council's website.
