Surrey Community Energy
Local Community Benefit Society Surrey Community Energy are looking for roofs and volunteers. They install solar PV with no up front cost to the roof owners. Raising funds from share offers, whose investors are paid back over time from payments for the energy used.
Get in touch with them if you are looking to generate clean electricity on your site while helping to fund future solar installs.
More about community energy
Community energy is the delivery of community-led renewable energy, energy demand reduction and energy supply projects. Powering up and powering down. For example this could be a solar PV owned by a Community Benefit Company or trained energy advisers helping local people reduce their energy usage.
The website of Community Energy England can tell you more.
Support from Surrey County Council
The Home Energy Advice Team is seeking support from community groups for energy advice and signposting. See the great work local group Energy Action Redhill and Reigate are doing with thermal imaging surveys to help us save money on bills.
