4. Account refunds - how to claim

The Harlequin Theatre & Cinema will be inaccessible for some time. We are checking customer accounts for credits (money left to spend) and will send each person a letter about their refund.
How to claim
In order to claim a refund, we need you to take the following action:
- fill out our online form (link below)
- enter the account number and credit value details shown on your letter
- upload a copy/picture of a bank statement confirming the bank details you provide match your name - this is needed to confirm that the bank account we will make the refund to is in your name
- wait for the payment to reach your bank account (the refund will arrive before the end of the month following your form completion)
Option to donate
You can choose to donate your credit value to support the Mayor’s charities - this year (until May 2025) the charities are Renewed Hope and TRACKS Through Pastures. For more details on these, you can visit the Mayor's webpages. If you would like to do this, please let us know via the online refund form (link above), selecting the ‘I would like to donate’ option.
Deadline to claim your refund
You have a legal right to claim this money back, and (unless you indicate to us that you do not wish to do so) you can contact the Council for a refund up until 26 September 2029 (six years from the theatre’s original closure date).
We are unable to transfer any money to any future ticketing system that we may operate.
