A number of Redhill properties have been re-banded by the Valuation Office Agency, following a reversal of the decision to re-band them to a lower band in March 2024.
The Valuation Office has written to all residents who will be affected and has provided contact details for any queries. The Council is legally required to make changes to Council Tax accounts, and issue new bills showing the changes to your bands which will be effective from the date we are notified of the change.
Any questions relating to the band change should be made with the Valuation Office. The Council will deal with any queries relating to payments following this change.
Contact details for the Valuation Office are:
- Richard Mercer – 03000505346 – richard.h.mercer@voa.gov.uk
- Mark Payne – 03000506569 – mark.k.payne@voa.gov.uk

If you have (or believe you have) received post to your address relating to this refund, please note the following:
- Post addressed to a previous occupier of your property, or anyone else who is not known to you, should be returned unopened as outlined in these Post Office instructions for wrongly delivered mail
- Post addressed to someone who is deceased should be opened and the application for a refund made by an executor of their estate or their next of kin. Where possible, evidence of this status should be provided, but if evidence cannot be provided, or if there are no executors of the estate or next of kin who can made an application for a refund, then contact the Council Tax department for further advice.
- If you have received a bill showing an outstanding balance that you don’t think is correct, then contact the Council Tax department.
